Cognitive Processing Therapy

Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) is a structured and supportive approach that helps individuals process the impact of trauma. When we go through difficult or distressing experiences, it can change the way we see ourselves, others, and the world. CPT gently helps uncover the beliefs and patterns that may be keeping us stuck — particularly those shaped by trauma, shame, or loss — and supports us in shifting those thoughts in a way that feels empowering and healing.

In our work together, I provide a safe and steady space for you to explore how your past experiences may be affecting your present life. CPT is especially helpful for those coping with PTSD, anxiety, and other trauma-related concerns. Together, we work through these patterns at your pace, and in ways that align with your goals and values.

Issues that can be helped:

  • Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)

  • Shame following trauma

  • Intrusive thoughts or flashbacks

  • Anxiety and hypervigilance

  • Difficulty trusting others or feeling safe

  • Emotional numbness or disconnection

  • Unresolved grief

  • Struggles with identity or self-worth after trauma
